For a game that is as constantly and consistantly changing as Asheron's Call, keeping in contact with "the community" is almost vital. Knowing where to look for the information you need can save time, vitae points, and much frustration.
Not to mention those embarassing moments when your vassel asks you a question you dont know the answer to.

My favored site. CoD has it all as far as i'm concerned. Busy message boards. Up to date news. A good Item/Place/Quest/Lore database as well as what ive found to be the best patch-day information gathering network on the net. Its the first place I check for anything, be it coords or why the hell the servers are down.
As a close second, is Maggie's. If CoD doesnt have it, Maggie's probably will. I tend to go here to find quest walkthroughs, and info on the sillier side of things, like where to get certain dresses. (sue me, im a clotheshorse)
The third in my list of AC sites I cant do without, The Atlas is the web interface for this Player-compiled database. If I just need to figure out how to get there, I head here.
That OTHER AC site. Also has VERY heavily used message boards. Their server boards are much more commonly used than the ones at CoD, and their trade forums are THE spot to look for a hookup.
Oooooooh, maps galore. Over 200 dungeon maps. Questers, fire up the printer and get out the thumbtacks!
Just because I always HATED the look of the interface. Optimum Shi is utterly reliable, no fears of anything on his page being infected.
The Place for Plugins. Third Party has everything you'll ever need as far as third party applications go- Decal and all its assorted side dishes. But be warned, while the Dev team neither condemns nor supports these apps, some players consider using certain plugins (most notably, Sixth Sense) as "cheating". The debate will rage on for some time.
The online journal of an AC junkie. Fist and his assorted alts are a well known part of the landscape. His columns are often amusing, sometimes ranting, but always interesting. Not to mention giving everyone something to read during patch-day downtime!
